Discernment develops when we slow the thought waves of the mind.
Being Neutral, undisturbed, fully rooted in the truth of who we really are. This comes easily the more developed ones peace is. To develop these skills of equanimity, peace, discernment takes practice and imho a whole hell of a lot of discipline ! and inner strength!!! We all have it! What you choose to do with it is where we will go next 👇🏼
We have choices: we can act based on our past conditioning or we can be who we know we really are. Take responsibility for your feelings. #nvc #nonviolentcommunication. Feel your feelings. Talk from an I place. Remember the person pointing the finger usually has the problem. Let go of blame and shame. Choose not to act in the old way. For example: You are not being attacked, you are feeling attacked. You are not being ignored, you are feeling ignored. What needs of yours are unmet? Who is responsible for filling your needs? Have you handed your power over to someone else? Turn your attention over to yourself. Settle into yourself. From your calm place, your neutral place, with some kind of clarity, be, allow, surrender. Let go of who you thought you were.
Turn your attention to yourself without being a slave to your past conditioning. If you act out, watch, which parent are you being?

Settle into yourself. Feel yourself and just let everything relax. The more you relax the more open you are to remaining neutral even when you are being triggered. Feel without expressing or engaging. It might feel really good. And every time you make a different choice you are creating a new pathway in the brain, a new opportunity for peace and love in your life. It takes practice.
