Being Passionate means feeling your best, feeling truly alive, and fulfilled. There are many ways to be find your passion. First, you need to brave, you need to be strong. Discipline helps. Follow your dreams. Follow your intuition and do what it takes to step into your new reality.

10 Steps to take to stay on purpose and find your passion:

1. Set an intention:

Set an intention about how you would like your life to be. You are not alone. Get support if it's available to you. Millions of people go through this. Keep sniffing, keep smelling, if something feels right to you then it probably is. Maybe it's a workshop, or a festival, or a class, or a new area you are called to. Once you set an intention the World magically arranges itself to support you (or was already magically arranged for your intention to come through even before you knew it was your intention). Then all you need to do is keep stepping. Keep following your instincts and before you know it you are living a life of purpose and fulfillment. Small steps each day become a beautiful journey. If you are led to yoga or meditation Baba Hari Dass was one of my most influential teachers. I was led to yoga and his teachings. As I practiced them I met more community and learned more tools. Q. You said once that love, devotion, and truth could make spiritual teachings sit in the heart. But aren’t these qualities the result of spiritual development? A. Yes. Love, devotion and truth make a deep groove in the heart center and they create a deep samskara for love for God. How they are created; sometimes positive samskaras are active due to pain, either within or outside, or the mind can click and the desire for finding truth gets strong. A person develops dispassion for the world and the mind goes toward love, devotion, and truth. These qualities develop and get stronger by spiritual practices and when they are perfected that is the result of spiritual development. Truthfulness, non-violence, non-stealing, sexual continence and non-hoarding: By practicing these restraints we purify the mind and that reduces the outward draw on the mind. In practicing these five things we also create pure relationship in society and with other beings. Then in our pure relationships anger, hate, jealousy, greed etc. are eliminated and the mind will not be polled by these things. - Baba Hari Dass

Affirmation: I practice non-violence to myself and to others. I am a beautiful person and am open to receiving support. I remain open to being supported in the highest ways. I feel supported and safe.

2. Support yourself.

Take the time to feed what feeds your soul in each moment. It's ok to take care of yourself. It's ok to be you. Say no to everything that feels uncomfortable about or that you are unsure about. Say yes to the things that are a definite yes. Follow the yes. Yes leads to bliss. Do the things that bring you joy, that uplift you and give you a feeling of peace. Affirmation: I am safe and supported. I feel whole and complete. I know what is best for me and I choose situations and relationships that support me. I choose to feel loved and be loved. I deserve love. I am love.

3. Stay pure people.

Cut any ties that no longer serve your greatest and highest good.

Pratyahara in Yoga means proper use of the senses. This means unfollowing posts that upset us, even if we care about the cause. It means turning off the TV, horror movies, and whatever else makes you feel down. "Pratyahara is twofold. It involves withdrawal from wrong food, wrong impressions, and wrong associations, while simultaneously opening up to right food, right impressions, and right associations. We cannot control our mental impressions without right diet and right relationships, but pratyahara’s primary importance lies in withdrawal from or control of sensory impressions, which frees the mind to move within.

By withdrawing our awareness from negative impressions, pratyahara strengthens the mind’s powers of immunity. Affirmation: I am enough. I release anything that no longer serves my greatest and highest good. I choose union. I choose peace. I choose to be pure and whole and complete. I let go of any needs and desires, and attachments to outcomes. I am at peace with who I am.

4. Follow the light.

ie. follow the lightness. Energy has a density. Follow the situation or the path that feels like it has the highest vibration. Another way to say this is Follow your bliss. Your passions are there for a reason. They guide you to your hearts fulfilment. If you are feeling dispassionate, keep an eye out, the best is still to come. Keep an eye out for what lights your fire then follow it, allow yourself to adapt, and follow your passion in each moment. Welcome to the present. The present is where the peace is.

Affirmation: I know what is best for me. I allow myself to feel blissful and know more joy than I ever imagined possible. I know what its like to feel joy. I share and radiate joy. I am love.

5. Keep going.

Be grateful for how far you have come. Applaud and celebrate who are in this moment. Set new goals, new intentions. Ask for help internally and stay open to the opportunities that feel in line with your integrity. Be willing to step out of your comfort zone into new experiences. Sometimes if the old way is not satisfying you there is something out there for you that you just haven't tried yet. Be open to new experiences.

Affirmation: I am open to new experiences. I am grateful for my strength and inner guidance. I am resilient and resourceful. I am intelligent, worthy, and kind. I am open to new experiences. I enjoy life to its fullest and live with wild abandon.

6. Trust Yourself.

You have an inner guidance system, also called intuition. This information is like an internal compass and is available to each of us at any time. Trust it and watch how really rich life can get.

Message from the Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers:

"As you move through these changing times... be easy on yourself and be easy on one another. You are at the beginning of something new. You are learning a new way of being. You will find that you are working less in the yang modes that you are used to.

You will stop working so hard at getting from point A to point B the way you have in the past, but instead, will spend more time experiencing yourself in the whole, and your place in it.

Instead of traveling to a goal out there, you will voyage deeper into yourself. Your mother's grandmother knew how to do this. Your ancestors from long ago knew how to do this. They knew the power of the feminine principle... and because you carry their DNA in your body, this wisdom and this way of being is within you.

Call on it. Call it up. Invite your ancestors in. As the yang based habits and the decaying institutions on our planet begin to crumble, look up. A breeze is stirring. Feel the sun on your wings."

Affirmation: I believe in myself. I trust my inner guidance fully and completely. I know what is best for myself. I allow myself to trust even more. I trust.

7. Surround yourself with an environment that is supportive.

Take walks in the woods, sit by a river. Give yourself time to heal, time to readjust your settings, time and space for time and space to rearrange itself around you. Give yourself space. If it doesn't exist around you you need to create it!

Affirmation: I surround myself with experiences that support my Soul. I allow myself room to breathe and relax. I choose to focus on and live the life of my dreams. I am supported, whole, and complete. I am surrounded by love and loving experiences.

8. Be Yourself.

Accept yourself exactly where you are. Every step is a valuable step. Being our authentic selves is really freeing. It gives you feelings that support you continuing on your journey leading to more sustained fulfillment and peace.

Affirmation: I am loved and supported, passionate and on purpose when I am being my authentic self. I am authentic, peaceful, and powerful. I feel comfortable being myself in all situations. I accept myself for who I really am. I accept others for who they are. I choose the path of peace. I choose to love myself exactly as I am, right now and forevermore.

9. Be Kind to yourself.

Give your body and your Soul exactly what you need in each moment. By nurturing yourself you give yourself room to feel what you are passionate about. 20 minutes a day of self love goes a long way. Lovingly show the world how you choose to be treated and it will respond.

Affirmation: I treat my body with lovingkindness. I allow myself to give myself whatever I need in each moment. I am exactly where I need to be in each moment and I give myself permission to walk away from any situation that is not healthy for me. I choose to be healthy. I choose to treat myself with kindness. I choose to give myself compassion.

10. Love Yourself.

Even more each day. Even if you don't know how to love yourself allow yourself to be open to loving yourself. Allow yourself to learn to love yourself even more, wholly, completely, and even more than you ever imagined. Say yes to inviting more love into your life even if you don't know what it looks like.

Affirmation: I fully and completely love myself. I invite and recognize love into my life. I take steps to nurture healthy relationships in my life and let the rest go. I am aligned and on purpose. Each day I discover more passion and fulfillment in my life. I am peaceful.
