1. Topic: Education


Part 1: Introduction and Interview

Sample Questions:

  • What subjects did you enjoy studying in school?

  • Do you think education is important? Why or why not?

  • How has education changed in your country over the years?

  • What was your favorite subject in school?

  • Are you still in touch with any of your school teachers?


Part 2: Long Turn

Sample Question: Describe a memorable teacher you had. You should say:

  • Who the teacher was

  • What subject they taught

  • What made them memorable and explain why you remember them.


Part 3: Discussion

Sample Questions:

  • What are the advantages and disadvantages of the education system in your country?

  • How important is higher education in today's society?

  • Do you think the quality of education has improved over the years? Why or why not?

  • How can the education system be improved in your country?

  • What role do parents play in their children's education?

  • Should education be free for everyone? Why or why not?



 


2. Topic: Art


Part 1: Introduction and Interview

Sample Questions:

  • Do you enjoy visiting art galleries?

  • What kind of art do you like?

  • Have you ever tried any form of art yourself?

  • Why do you think people enjoy creating and looking at art?

  • Do you think art should be a mandatory subject in school?


Part 2: Long Turn

Sample Question: Describe a piece of art you like. You should say:

  • What the piece of art is

  • Where you saw it

  • Why you like it and explain how it makes you feel.


Part 3: Discussion

Sample Questions:

  • What are the benefits of learning about art?

  • How has art changed over the years in your country?

  • Do you think that the government should support artists? Why or why not?

  • What impact does art have on society?

  • Why do some people consider art important in their lives?

  • How can art influence our daily lives?



 


3. Topic: Food


Part 1: Introduction and Interview

Sample Questions:

  • What is your favorite food?

  • Do you enjoy cooking? Why or why not?

  • How often do you eat out at restaurants?

  • Have your tastes in food changed over the years?

  • Do you think it is important to have a healthy diet?


Part 2: Long Turn

Sample Question: Describe a meal that you enjoyed. You should say:

  • What the meal was

  • Where you had it

  • Who you were with and explain why you enjoyed it.


Part 3: Discussion

Sample Questions:

  • How has globalization affected the food we eat?

  • What are the advantages and disadvantages of fast food?

  • How can people be encouraged to eat healthier?

  • Do you think traditional food is important? Why or why not?

  • How does the food culture in your country compare to other countries?

  • What role does food play in cultural identity?



 


4. Topic: What Are You Studying?


Part 1: Introduction and Interview

  • What are you currently studying?

  • Why did you choose this field of study?

  • Do you enjoy your studies? Why or why not?

  • How do you think your studies will benefit you in the future?

  • Are there any subjects you find particularly challenging?


Part 2: Long Turn

Sample Question: Describe a project or piece of coursework you have done. You should say:

  • What the project was

  • What you had to do

  • How you approached it and explain what you learned from it.


Part 3: Discussion

Sample Questions:

  • How important is it to choose the right field of study?

  • What are the advantages and disadvantages of specializing in a particular field?

  • How can students balance academic work and social life?

  • Do you think students today face more challenges than previous generations? Why or why not?

  • How can universities support students in their studies?

  • What role do extracurricular activities play in a student's education?



 

5. Topic: Health


Part 1: Introduction and Interview

Sample Questions:

  • Do you think you lead a healthy lifestyle?

  • What do you do to stay healthy?

  • How often do you exercise?

  • Have you ever had to change your diet for health reasons?

  • Do you think it is important to visit the doctor regularly?


Part 2: Long Turn

Sample Question: Describe a health-related goal you have. You should say:

  • What the goal is

  • Why you have this goal

  • How you plan to achieve it and explain why it is important to you.


Part 3: Discussion

Sample Questions:

  • What are the main health issues facing people today?

  • How can people be encouraged to live healthier lifestyles?

  • Do you think the government should play a role in promoting public health? Why or why not?

  • How has the concept of health and wellness changed over the years?

  • What impact does technology have on our health?

  • How important is mental health compared to physical health?

  • What do you usually do in your free time?

  • Do you have any hobbies or interests?

  • How do you spend your weekends?

  • Are there any activities you used to do when you were younger but no longer do?

  • Do you prefer to spend your free time alone or with others? Why?


Part 2: Long Turn

Sample Question: Describe an activity you enjoy doing in your free time. You should say:

  • What the activity is

  • How often you do it

  • Why you enjoy it and explain why it is important to you.


Part 3: Discussion

Sample Questions:

  • How has the way people spend their free time changed over the years?

  • What are the benefits of having hobbies?

  • Do you think it's important for people to have leisure activities? Why or why not?

  • How do cultural differences influence the activities people do in their free time?

  • Can hobbies and interests improve a person’s quality of life? How?
