Proposal for Working Together on a Project

Proposal for Collaborative Project on Wasteland Regeneration and Research-Creation in Asbestos City

I have been considering something and I would love to run it by you...

I would like to propose a collaborative effort between us to explore the potential of wastelands in addressing ecological issues, with a specific focus on the abandoned mine in Asbestos City. Would you like to hear more about it?

My interest in working on wastelands comes from a deep commitment to finding sustainable solutions to environmental challenges. Through my landscape studio, I have previously collaborated with the town of Asbestos, and I am pleased to share that the city is open to further collaboration on projects related to wasteland transformation. Would you like to explore the possibility of collaborating?

As a case study, I suggest we delve into the abandoned mine of Asbestos City. It presents a unique opportunity to not only address environmental concerns but also contribute to the revitalization of the community. My vision for this collaboration is rooted in the concept of a research-creation project.

Having undertaken similar projects in the past, I believe that a research-creation approach is highly relevant for our endeavor. This method allows us to combine academic research with artistic and creative processes, fostering a holistic understanding of the issues at hand. The outcomes of such projects not only contribute valuable insights but also engage the community in a meaningful way.

I am convinced that the current usage of wastelands in the city is unsustainable. By working together, we can explore alternative roles for these areas, integrating them into the fabric of urban life in a more sustainable and meaningful manner. The abandoned mine, in particular, could be transformed into a positive force for the city, addressing ecological concerns while providing economic and social benefits.

I propose that we schedule a meeting to further discuss the details of this collaboration. Your insights and expertise will be invaluable in shaping the direction of our project. I am confident that our joint efforts can lead to impactful outcomes for both the environment and the community.

Thank you for considering this proposal, and I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate on this exciting and important venture.
