Some People argue that technological inventions, such as mobile phones, are making people socially less interactive. Do you agree or disagree?

We have literally become this new race over the last decades. We've all heard of that couple who got married after they met on a dating site or accessed information that we never knew was even out there just by touch of a fingertip "click". Technology has literally transformed the way we live. After the invention of the internet, people became addicted to social media. I disagree with the idea that technological innovations make people less interactive. Technology affects people negatively and positively but it seems to me that there are more advantages of technology than disadvantages. There are three main ways that technology actually supports human interaction: providing access to more information, enabling global communication, and increasing efficiency.

First of all, people can reach each other more easily because of the internet. Also, access to more information is helping to increase the educational level year by year. Access to more information affects people’s ability to socialize due to the fact that they can learn and share resources. Overall, access to more information can really help society evolve and meet education and research demands as well as increase social connection.

From my perspective, technology also enables people to engage in global communication. Technology provides many opportunities and helps us access information easily. We can share and discuss ideas globally. For example, we can express our thoughts to someone far away. Many people meet new friends through online platforms. Technology also allows us to collaborate with others in real-time, breaking down geographical barriers. We are all seeing huge changes in the World right now and thanks to global communication we have access to educational resources and connections around the world.

Another point to consider is that the internet enables people to be more efficient with their time. For example, after the rise of the internet, the ability to search for job opportunities increased. Employment grew as a result of these increases. As a result of the increase in employment, people’s communication with each other and with their bosses and within their businesses, has been positively affected. Digital tools and platforms also help individuals and and businesses create supportive systems and grow their customer bases allowing them to reach more customers.

In conclusion, technology has many advantages for people's interactions. I believe that the level of interaction will continue to increase year by year, as a result, we can expect unpredictable technological advancements that will positively impact people's daily interactions. These advancements will continue to transform the way we connect, communicate, and collaborate, making it easier for people to maintain relationships and build new ones, no matter where they are located. Whether one believes technology increases or decreases social interaction is likely related to what they view as social interaction and what their values are. Technology can be great or horrible depending on how you use it and the intention behind it and each person needs to make decisions on how to use it to get the best results for themselves. For some that will be to avoid it and cultivate in-person connection and for some it will be as a tool, and, for some, it will be just another way to connect with people- as authentic as in-person connection is.
