Role-play Script: Roger on a Business Trip

Situation: Roger checks into his hotel and prepares for a meeting with a new client.

Hotel Receptionist: Good evening, sir. Welcome to the Blue Tower Hotel. Do you have a reservation?

Roger: Yes, I have a reservation under Roger Fernandes. It should be booked by my company.

Receptionist: Let me check... Yes, I see it here. You're staying for three nights, correct?

Roger: That’s right. Also, is breakfast included?

Receptionist: Yes, breakfast is served from 6:30 to 10:00 in the restaurant. Here’s your key card and Wi-Fi password.

Roger: Thank you. I have a meeting tomorrow morning—do you offer wake-up calls?

Receptionist: Absolutely. What time should we call?

Roger: 6:45, please.

The next morning, Roger meets his client at a café near the office.

Roger: Good morning, Mr. Lima. It's great to finally meet in person.

Client: Likewise, Roger. Thanks for coming all the way from Rio. How was your trip?

Roger: It was smooth, thanks. I had time to review the meeting agenda on the plane. I'm ready to go over our proposal.

Client: Perfect. I had a look at it last night. I think we’re close to closing the deal.

Roger: That’s great to hear. I’m happy to answer any questions or adjust the plan.
